Loads of cling film has the same affect and is pretty cheap. Plus being on a roll you can walk round you car with it to cover it up FFRR Owner, very nearly became a D3 owner
Test piloted a new D4 XS SDV6.. Gone and being forgotten i hope!!

I would love to say he did but that wouldn't be fair ...... he was wearing GG AT2's which certainly helped.
It was the instability of the rear that surprised me. I presume it was the lack of weight over the back wheels but when the going got rough the rear end was all over the place.
Neither he nor the Jeep Cherokee that was with us had RAI/Snorkels so they avoided the deep water. All the LR's dived straight in! With hindsight the second one was pretty deep ...... I came out with water flowing up the windscreen & the suspension in super-extended mode!
All in all a good day.Nick

Narrow lanes
We went to Devon this weekend; I now know what a narrow lane is, and in fact an even narrower bridge.D4 SDV6 HSE 11MY - Gone

Another weekend and some more green lanes, this time we headed out to Cumbria to do the Old Coach Road but unfortunately the clutch went on the Freelander that was with us so we had to turn around near the start but managed to catch this photo before heading off into Weardale to do a few more

I took her down her first green lane today. I have a short 1km lane down the road from my house I would always pop down in my Defender (short cut to the Pub), was a bit concerned as I have standard tyres etc but I must say she coped with everything even the flooded stream, we've had a little bit of rain in Cornwall and the track has been severely washed away but with surround vision cameras on it was a blast! Went Green laning for the first time. What fun!
My daughter was terrified that we were going to topple over... quite a crazy lean angle in a few places. My son thought it was the coolest thing ever. SWMBO was quiet throughout.
Then we gave the D4's Santorini Black exterior a well deserved wash and wax.

Been out green laning for the last time this year in the extremely cold and snowy Weardale, had a great day and managed to get quite a few lanes in, here's a photo from the top of Grasshill Causeway at the aptly named Coldberry Edge

Helped out on the Kielder 4x4 Safari today raising money for The Northumberland National Park Mountain Rescue Team.
It was very cold and snowy up in Kielder today and a lot of the tracks were very icy underneath the snow but we managed to guide about a dozen cars around today without incident
