FBH in lock out

Hello! I’ve just had a diagnostics run on my disco 3 (07 2.7 TDV6 SE) and one of the error codes was that the FBH is in lock out mode. I tried the fuse removal trick to try and reset it and then took the car for a little run (10-15 mins). The FBH was warm when I got back home. Does this mean the FBH was successfully reset or would it have warmed passively from the heat of the engine?

Thanks, Matt.

I did the reset on mine and bonnet open can hear it whirring after turning the engine off. It lasts for about 30 secs to a minute.

The simplest check is to run the engine when it is colder than 7 deg celcius wait a few minutes.. 5 minutes is sufficient and put your hand under the front of the motor/car left side, between the bumper and the front wheel and feel the exhaust gasses (warm/hot) comming out of the FBH exhaust….

Feeling the temp of the unit itself on the engine bay says nothing, because that is the water temperature…

I had the code 02h and i did use a matress blower and it seemed it fixed the problem i changed the co2 adjustment to abit higher lever and it said that the fan is blowing at 100%. Than it was working. I disconected everything and tried again in parking mode without the blower and it threw up the same c9de again. Is there any co2 settings i can do or what could be the issue now ? Working with air blower and cutting off without. ?

I had to run mine with compressed air up the inlet about half a dozen times whilst adjusting the CO2 setting. For me perseverance paid off and it eventually would run a full cycle on its own. I'm assuming that it was coked/choked up somewhere and the increased heat did the trick.

That was last winter and it still fires up and runs now. I have ran it occasionally through the year to make sure it still worked/clear any clag...

I ran the diagnostics and it was running to full cycle mode and i could change the co2 settings and did so , however after 10 minutes or so it was still running to full cycle mode , what do i do usually to stop it or it takes a longer time to do what it needs to do while connected to the diagnostics ?

As far as I can tell, if you use the Webasto diagnostics to start the FBH, it will run until it reaches the pre-set time-out or temperature max, unless you switch it off again with the Diagnostics, or pull the fuse.

Time out seems to be set at 255 mins and when I omitted to turn mine off it reached temperature max somewhere between 90C and 95C for FBH coolant temperature (which was about 84C-90C for engine coolant temperature).

If you use the GAP IID test-function, it will time-out at 300s, which is well below temp max.

press the flame symbol on the timer, wait 3 seconds and pull the 20a fuse, wait 3 secs reinsert the fuse and then press the flame button again wait 3 seconds and pull the fuse again, wait 3 seconds and re insert the fuse the FBH should then fire up as soon as the fuse connects

Thanks mate, that solved my problem!
