just few questions that came to my mind at this stage.
1. when are you going to sent these out? is there a chance it will arrive to me b4 christmas?
2. is there going to be manuals in english and for a range rover sport?
3. how does the gsm module work. I mean what kind of gsm plan should I look for? data, sms, calls? prepaid or normal plan?
4. if I need a gsm card in the car anyway, is there a chance to make my private gsm based wifi router in the car? this would be a really great!
probably more questions to follow....
1. they will send when they got the 20 orders in as I understand it
2. the manual should be in English, but I will check.
3. I believe a prepaid should be ok
4. do not know
Very Annoyed wrote:We need confirmation as to what will happen if the 20 unit requirement isn't reached. I don't want to order and find out I'm paying the higher price because of lack of numbers. By ordering from this page as it stands you agree to the price listed which is more than the group buy.
I will check with Danhag, at the moment things looks good, we 20 confirmed, the price not GB should be around 50 E more.

Not sure if it will help, but hey.....

Flydive,
just logged onto the order page but when I try to create an account I can't actually enter anything. It lets me change from male to female and change the country but nothing else! Am I missing something?

I said I was going to buy one of these, but I have to say I'm a little uneasy with the way its going to date.
What's the story with this extra wiring loom? Do we need it or don't we? Its not clear.
And if there's not going to be clear fitting instructions in English, then its no use to me at all. Is it definitely going to have such?
I for one need to be sure of the above questions before I commit to putting myself through trying to wade through ordering in German on that website...

Sent a mail to Danhag, hope to get answer soon.
The wiring, for what I understand, is not mandatory but it makes installation easier, otherwise you would have to make the wiring and connectors yourself

1 of the connections on the wiring loom I was looking at on their site was to the timer switch so I take it thats a completely different wiring harness?

From Danhag
Install instruction and manual in English: Gerd from this forum had offered to translate them, no news where he stands at the moment.
Wiring harness: Not necessary but will make the installation quite easier.

wbus converter better than basic gsm module |
|
I fitted the GSM module (non pro version) 2 weeks ago to replace my danhag wbus converter. it works fine except it will only fire up for about 20 minutes. the wbus converter would go for ages with a clicking from the fuel pump, so i dont think that the gsm unit is controlling the fuel pump like the converter. hopefully the pro version you have ordered will be better.
My IPCU (HVAC) controller should arrive soon. I will use use the GSM unit to control the wbus converter so that the fuel pump works again as well as the HVAC. There's one wheel on my wagon, but i'm still rollin' along, it's the cherokee, they're after me, but I'm singing a happy song
