As per earlier posts, all this stuff is confirmed and with dealers but is embargoed until July. Had a chat with a sensible dealer yesterday about discount, delivery times and 12my changes and as part of this available but secret info is cost of each model in line up but no extras price list has been issued yet
I would give them a call to sort it and get your place in the queue

Drive select gear operation = twiddly jag knob for p/r/n/d/s
Audio enhancements = standard DAB and all systems meant to be improved (meant nowt to me as I am not a hifi techie!) but LOGIC 7 is option on HSE whereas it was standard before. IPod integration (still an option on commercial which is a blow cos that is what I am looking at) is now via a standard iPod/iPhone USB cable and new systems in GS/XS/HSE support bluetooth music streaming.

Strange. For the german market, HSEs have "High Audio" as standard, but "Premium Audio / Logic7" comes as a 1180€ extra in the 2011 list.

For those of us who have to buy and pay for running our cars ourselves, does 255bhp SD6 mean thare will also be a lower power TD6 option for the GS but still with the 8 speed auto and stop-start? - I'm hoping for near 35MPG and sub 200 gms to entice me to replace my 54 plate D3. BTW, the current model is already at D3 manual output (244) so thats not much of an achievement. I prefer D4 over Taureg anyday but you cant ignore the VW's on paper economy - but is that just the baseline SE 3.0 - what about the Escape which is closer to D4 spec?
If I was to spring for a new 2012 D4, I'd be locked into whatever running costs are for 10-12 years, and who know where oil prices will be then - that's a completely different perspective to a 3 year business lease.

No, commercial gets a more eco (relatively) 210 version but GS/XS/HSE all get 255 which had CO2 about 8% lower than 11MY if I remember correctly (I seem to think 225 but would need to check) - I recall it wasn't quite 10% cos it was the same drop as mpg and I needed to remember it to convince the mrs of the business case for the D4 rather than new kitchen/blah .....

The 210bhp commercial emissions are 224, the 255 bhp gs etc. is 230g per whatever blah blah (not really into all this Eco sh&t)

I would have thought that as a sitemod you would be little less aggressive and sarcastic to someone who is just trying to help. Obviously you know everything anyway.
I'm not arguing either way, just reporting what I had heard. Can't tell difference between logic 7 and standard stereo anyway!

I was initially trying to politely clarify and assist you where you could have been perhaps 'unintentionally' misled on specification in a sale scenario for the 2012MY However, you chose to second guess the validity of my polite advice and make it into a competition over who knows the most or least.

To the others - dealers have this document, those that want your business and are open will share relevant parts of its contents with you if you are serious.
Dealers that won't are either
a) Stupid and assume their customers are the same
b) Not telling staff the latest product information
c) Not really interested in the product
d) Playing 100% by the book and won't disseminate any information until July (in which case how can you order a new car from them before then?)
e) Not taking you seriously or don't trust you
I would consider a short call to local-ish dealers with an opener "I want to order a new Discovery, is there anyone there I can have a sensible discussion with about the 2012 model year spec" and see where you get.
My local dealer told me on Wednesday they didn't have the 12MY specs yet and if I ordered this month I would get 2011MY anyway and there's not expected to be "anything important" in 12MY anyway. So he is off the list and I went looking elsewhere. Some dealers (like my local) see cars as "another unit sold" whereas we are enthusiasts and interested in the details - the smart dealers sometimes get it but in my opinion (and not just LR dealers here) most don't and their knowledge of their product is appalling.
