Gonna look at mine tomorrow.....My EGR's are blanked so that this should'nt happen again. Only did the BAS EGR blank a few months back.

I think you are right Jason, the EGR's must be causing the muck - and I guess if the car is driven at low revs/power they are recircing a fair. And if they are sticking - then must be worse.

Mixed results must be due to the amount of build up in the hole - though it ould cause over boosting - assuming the boost is controlled by this sensor? Or sluggish control of the vanes??

It does beg the question, once you blank the EGRs should you try and clean as much of the sytem after them (into the manifold) to remove all this gunk, is there any other sensors or such like that will be gunked up?

i'll post a pic if well gummed up, hope not mines fitted with BAS EGR kit too,so hopefully it wont be to bad, but i never checked the sensor before fitting the blanks Whistle

cheapest way of blocking the EGR is using a 20 euro cent coin in the outlet pipe from the EGR valve , just add some grease to it to hold it in place while fitting them
 Trust me I'm an Idoit !!!!!!!

Hang on, brains fuzzy from night out last night. Woody to quote SWMBO "Yuck!", are your EGRs blanked?? W need a good mix of blanked/non blanked EGRs MAP pics (if that makes sense).

Can't see your enquiry working there Derek, I have Blanked mine last year but that still means a few years of Build up and they don't self clean, or do they?
