thnx Paul....
over here in Greece, since LR dealer works with at least 200% profit on spares, probably the LR batteries stay at his shelves more than usual....

Mine managed 4 1/2 years before dieing - and I agree with above, LR OEM ones are fair value for what they are expected to do (lots of electrical stuff going on all the time, even when car is 'asleep')Never get mad - get even !!
06 D3 now gone to family member and still going strong at 265k
previous vehicles:
04 D2 TD5 - (clocked 189k from new)

I purchased my 05 TDV6 12 months ago - just after purchase the battery went - I went into LR in Geelong to purchase a new one - LR didn't have one in stock but gave me the specs to buy. Went to a local battery place who had one in stock. Apparently this was a 770ah LR battery (as directed) instead of a 950Ah LR battery. Now 12 months later I'm having a problem with the orange suspension light coming on even when sometimes it doesn't actually effect the system (however other times it does). Dropped the car into dealer and the fix was to put the 950Ah LR battery in instead (existing battery still quite OK) have also 2 yellow tops as 2nd & 3rd battery connected via trakside system.
QUESTION could the lesser Ah battery cause this?? seams a bit dicky to me??? any comment would be appreciated!

Mine was replaced at like 3.5 years of use, which is a long time for one down here. But now it will be going to a climate of the complete opposite along with everything else...finally.17 Discovery 5 HSE Si6, Fuji White on brown | 07 LR3 SE 4.4 Java Black on Alpaca
