If you using sat nav Glasgow has a new bit of motorway and mine didn't know about it so watch the signs where you staying up in Oban.

Thats the M74 extension then, yes thats good, most expensive bit of motorway per mile apparently.
Erskine bridge only shuts for exceptional winds, the signs normally tell you before you reach the clyde tunnel.
I normally go via Inverary (A819), it is usually an easier route than the A82 from Tarbet. One word of caution though if we get much more rain, check traffic scotland for the A83 rest and be thankful, is open at present but has been closed recently due to landslides. http://trafficscotland.org/

Oh and that "Big bridge"(Where all the junkies jump from ) is usually open except in very hight winds. Oh and theres no toll there any longer. NOT before time tho
