You need for the phonebook on the nav screen for rrff mode the d4 modul, but the other problem is that the phonebook is freezing from 8 to10.
Maybe an other software from the screen is better, i work on this problem, but now its crazy.

Wiggs - ok, so I have fitted a rear view camera to my 05 LR3 HSE and have its power wired to the reverse light (+ and -) so it only turns on when I shift into reverse. Of course it did not show up on the nav screen automatically but I can turn it on with the 753 code and see that it is working. Unfortunately without this RR mod I realized that it will not automatically come up on the Nav display (main reason I wanted to do this mod). After reading this post I immediately took the nav apart and removed the center pin as stated. Turned everything on and I am now in RR mode, it is very cool. Unfortunately when selecting audio/video it only shows options for radio and cd, no aux or anything and I do have the rear entertainment and rear aux jack, I also lose some 4x4 info like a couple of others have stated. The biggest issue is that my rear view camera does not come up automatically, it is just like when its in Land rover mode. I do have the first software firmware version from april 2004 (something like that) and figure that is why I lose the 4x4 info and audio/video info. BUT you did say - "Camera ...it would need it enabling in the ccf" - in one of your posts. What is the CCF and how do I enable the camera? Please help me out! : )

Can you use SDD to enable the camera? Also can it be used for other things to be enabled likee nav on the move, 4x4 screen etc?

im wanting to put a dvd /sat radio into my disco 3 . but i need a 12v live but i want it to work off key so once i lock car it goes off or even when i pull key out .to connect to my new radio .
the old system as two plugs at bk of it but the new one only needs one of them . the biggest one .
is there a 12v on the small plug i can connect a wire too . to wire to new radio ?

I am not so certain that there is a conductor that is attached to the ignition - that is what I think you are looking for. Below is a link to a wiring diagram in my gallery that shows both the low and high end radio system wiring.

I red it with interrest, and will consider doing this Mod my selfe.
2006 D3 HSE/ PP. Just had it for 6 month.
I could see earlier in the thread, that someone asking for the NAV screen schematics.
I would also like to see that. Guess it rather impossible, unless some from LR engineering reads this
I just keep wonder. Correct me if i`m wrong. Just thinking loud here now.
As i understand, its 3 video inputs on the screen.
That should, somewhere on the circuit board. Be a video switch ? Telling the LCD to switch between the 3 inputs. depending which function selected.
If it was possible to point out this swicth i.e a IC ( integrated circuit)
And if its a standard swith, get the pin layout from a data sheet. And that way, might find which pin
that triggers the switching og the inputs?
My idea of thinking, is that. When put the car in revers, you can feed a signal directly to that pin.
Most common, should be a 5 v high or low signal.
Then the screen changes to Back camera.
When signal is lost, it gets back to the last known screen....

Hi John,
Don't know whether what you ere thinking was to bypass the software, as after installing camera you need to enable it software wise... otherwise, even though functioning, the screen would not show any picture...
