I've enabled the reversing camera in the CCF
Got into RangeRover mode.
When I select reverse it goes to the camera screen. (don't have a camera yet)
But when I go out of reverse it says on the camera screen
Does this change when you move forward ? or is it because I don't have a camera fitted ?
P.S I also experienced problems with the volume as others have.

Mine stays on for about 10 seconds ish after coming out of reverse,
I was told it was so if you were doing any manoeuvring you're not keeping switching the screen on and off as you go in and out of reverse.

Hi all, i've been reading this thread and i'm almost convinced that I should do this mod .
Still one question though... if I face the volume issue and switch back to the D3 mod will the volume options be restored or the only option is to put the car "to sleep" for a while?
Thanks for your reply.
Ps. Panoramix, can you still make the dimming kit?
Cheers

Panoramix
Are your kits using the LDR and 43K resistor ?
I tried this, but the voltage will not go above 3.88V (67% dimming duty) even with a torch on it. So defeats the point of having it.
EDIT: I note in Factory Discovery mode, the maximum duty cycle is 85%, so its not as different as I thought.
I tried in the dark and from what I can remember, factory was about 20% and mod 28%.
So hopefully all in the right ball park

thank you.
0.24 Volts ?
Higher voltages means brighter backlight I think ?
what resistor do you use with it?

Hi all I just done this mod and added the resistor and resistor made no difference but the weird thing is that even with the resistor it still acts the same way as it did without it screen doesn’t seem too dim at all seems ok
and dimms slightly with dash board dimming switch with or without the resistor
This is what it’s like in the dark with screen brightness settings to max

Hi Panoramix, please let me if you can send me 1 kit for the mod.
Sorry for the late comeback but I haven't had much time.

I have installed my camera for the rear and tested it through the diagnostics. I’ve cut the wire and fitted a switch so can swap between modes. I am just not sure about the ccf part. Can I enable this myself or do I need to get someone to do it for me?
Also panoramix can you pm me about the brightness photoconductive cell please?
