Quote:I can get the Takla X11832 air jack which has a 2.5 tonne lift. For £212.00 + Vat if 10 are ordered. Price inc vat is £249.10. This does not cover the second bung or delivery.
looks like ive been done
I shall be giving heather a call tomorrow. For those of you expecting one of these that we have waited 4 months for, I would suggest checking before collection etc. Hopefully its just mine they have got wrong Duncan

I'm gonna be at APB in the morning about 10 - so i will see what they've got lined up for those in the group buy that Andrew organised.
If they're Ok and if anybody wants to save a few quid, im happy to pick theres up and bring them to Rockingham this weekend, it's only a tenner but that pays for a few beers

Dents? I think I'll stick to using my compressor for mine I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

As I suspected, I am the unlucky one......
All the other jacks are 2.5 ton, it would seem that its only mine that is 1.5 Ton. Heather is sending a 2.5 ton to me now so I'll have both for Rockingham to check. She also mentioned that a couple they have are originally marked 1.5 ton but have had 2.5 ton stickers on them. sounds like a bit if misprinting.
anyway hopefully the replacement will be OK.

Picked mine up from Heather this morning - quality bit of kit
Came straight back and lifted the D3 up in less than 10 seconds. The second bung takes a bit of wiggling to get into the exhaust and make it stick.....
Other than that it's the dogs danglies

Yup in big orangy-yellow writing along with 2 puncture kits (bit concerned they're trying to tell me something there TBH )
Im bringing mine to Rockingham if you wanna bounce/compare!
When my missus saw it she said "Great - can i use it to roll on when im giving birth in November?"
I see a new thread developing along the lines of the 2000 uses for WD40 - 2000 uses for a Takla air jack?
1) Air jack
2) birthing cushion to reduce labour pains.
3) ?????????

I picked up my Takla at Eastor last weekend from APB. Thanks to Gareth and Andrews for organising the group buy and discount.
Pictures of the first trial with it are in my gallery, I chose to get a T-Max twin for a good inflation rate as I did not want to hassle with the exhaust connection and plug.
I think in future, I will use the scissor jack by the wheel I intend to change, for extra security.
I bought a black canvas type cover for a kettle BBQ at Homebase (£9.95) which serves as a very good bag for the Takla, as it doesnt come with one. I also bought some plastic wheel chocks from Halfrauds (£4.99) to save getting the Land Rover ones out the tool kit.
The only issue is Mrs Claud is concerned at the lack of boot space with all the gear in the car now - where will she put her shopping? '' 2016 D4 Landmark
