How do I route wiring to the front map light area? |
|
Hi,
I am thinking of wiring up a rear vision mirror with built in monitor for a reverse camera. I did a quick search and didn't see any instructions on how to route the wiring up to that area of the roof.
Does anyone know of any instructions, write ups, pictures etc to do such a job? I already have the instructions on how to get wiring to the tailgate (thanks Disco3.co.uk!).
Cheers,

Thanks for that! I need to also trace the wiring for the actual video signal all the way to the rear number plate... Suzuki Vitara 3dr

Hi,
After some more browsing, and searching under "Blackvue" I have found the relevant posts - all illustrated as well, so if anyone finds this particular thread in the future, check out:

Thanks Mig31 - indeed there are many shared steps and a bit more detail in the diagrams as well.
I wish there was some more textual description though, but I guess if they're going to sell these things through Ikea.... Suzuki Vitara 3dr

It wasn't really that complicated....
...just leave yourself plenty of time.
I'm very green on this sort of things and I wasn't completely alone when I installed my trailair.
I didn't spend 24/7 on it, but I started on a Friday afternoon and finished it on Sunday morning.
I think it took me 10 hours + or - and a lot of the time on saturday was spent taking off the panels and feeding the cable to the front.
Not difficult, but "stressful" and time consuming.
Enjoy!
