That's a Terrain Response linked display, so it sounds like you have highlighted another vehicle inconsistency. The answer is, you should have it. It doesn't appear all the time, comes and goes when the wheels are turned, and without checking I don't recall if it appears with all programmes. Rock Crawl for sure, and it may be that it doesn't for any other programme.

Am I right in thinking there are potentially two screens?
The NAV screen (optional) and another one which Brian describes as “The small LCD in the bottom centre dash
Which NAV option shows the wheel direction, is this only the high-end version? Discovery 3 XS Auto, Stornaway, Active rear diff.

Premium Nav (which includes 4x4 info and TMC)
To answer Brian's LCD question, it only works in Low Range, so unless you switch to Rock Crawl, which selects Low automatically, unless you select Low you won't get the wheels in the other programmes. That's how it works on mine.
Martin4x4, the LCD screen is the main info screen on the instrument binacle. It displays a number of things (though not the clock!). The Nav screen, and therefore the 4x4 Information, only comes with the Premium Navigation system - standard on the HSE.

And it only appears when you actually turn the wheels, too. It is not there all the time.

No it is never displayed. I must say, I thought it was only on the SE & HSE thats why I did not bother. Now I will.

I have worked it out guys, it is my fault. I had the display on mileage and didn't realise that it had to be set on the temperature only screen. It now works in Rock Crawl mode. Thank you all, just shows the value of a site like this.

Rich,
Winger posted this, which is what you're after - I think....
Winger wrote:You should find it in the vehicle body ECU - sits in the same place as the light and lock control settings. There should be a "Key Warning" setting, which can be enabled or disabled.

Ta for the ECU info... I had seen that post and given it to my dealer, but he cannot get into that area on the test book... does that make any sense to anyone... I was looking over his shoulder so he is not just fobbing me off.
Is there anyone here who has actually succeeded in getting the key warning turned off??
Tell me if I am being a pain... but I am sure loads D3 owners do not have to be told when the keys are in the ignition and the door is open. Cheers Near enough 40 degrees South!!!

Rich,
I gather that no one has successfully turned this feature off as there is no replies. If anyone has been successful please post a reply. :

So it seems everyone is still putting up with the key warning bong despite the instruction book saying the dealer can turn it off ????
Maybe the dealers are supposed to supply a set of ear plugs.... may be easier than actually trying to find out how to get rid of it. Near enough 40 degrees South!!!
