RichieP wrote:OK... Mr Griff I understand your confusion.....
I have installed the Carpet mats that have the same fastners, my question was if the rubber mats had the fsteners in the same positions, so I could swap the mats depending on my work mode or play mode.
I think we belive this to be a no!
Waiting to be proved wrong!
I know you've probably worked this out by now..... but just catching up on some unread threads and had to make sure Richie is not out of pocket for that drink....
Facts... had carpets fitted by dealer, later bought HD rubber mats and installed myself. Had to move the clips to fit the rubber mats, so answer to your question is "no you can't interchange the caret for rubber without re-aligning clips.. especially in the 2nd row.
Cheers What's the point.... it all comes out in the wash anyway!

Hi, I ordered the premium carpet set for my D3, when it came time to collect the car I asked why the toggles had not been fitted and was told:
1. When they fit the toggles/pins it rips the carpet, and therefore the sealers just won’t fit them.
2. You just don’t need them, as they will not move.
I find the first point odd, why sell them if you can’t fit them, and as to the second point they do move, a lot. Brute force and ignorance, the D3 does the rest.

As I said, fit the clips for the carpet set, when needed, lay the rubber mats over the top. The rubber mats don't move.

What is the purpose of "hooks" under front rubber mats?
