Mats - Rubber and Carpet!!! |
|
Sorry for the dumb question, but does anyone know if the rubber mats fit on the same holders as the carpet ones?
(I've just bought and fitted the carpet mats for everyday - but could see that having the rubber ones for playing could be a bonus! so for D3 playing swap the mats)
If no one knows then I'll try and convince Lancaster to let me try next week

I must have a dodgy set then, cos my fasteners are in position for the carpet mats, and I'd be damned if I could get them to hold my rubber mats.
I just lay the rubber mats down, they are heavy enough to grip anyway.

I have both. The dealer fitted the carpet overmats and the fasteners. I subseqently bought a full rubber set from Yeovil and found them to be different.
It matters not, as the rubber mats grip the carpet anyway. I will confirm this tomorrow RP ad take a picture ot two.
The dealer may have sold me a duff set of non genuine carpets?

Not all the holes line up from what I remember, but as Gareth says the rubber mats tend to stay in place on their own. Zermatt silver 06 reg.

Buy some chequer plate rubber sheeting and cut to fit. put over the carpet mats when you need to and take out when you don't. better coverage and cheaper than OEM rubber mats. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Just to clarify...I've got LR rubber mats with 2 holes either side at the seat end of the mat...the fastners which are fitted into the carpet then slot through the mat holes and the top of the fastners swivel to lock the mat into place. 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

OK... Mr Griff I understand your confusion.....
I have installed the Carpet mats that have the same fastners, my question was if the rubber mats had the fsteners in the same positions, so I could swap the mats depending on my work mode or play mode.
I think we belive this to be a no!
Waiting to be proved wrong! Richard......
