The FBH will do some serious damage to your pocket as it is a heavy user of oil. I can switch it off, but that will come with the final results we get and the car heater is a very poor without it.

Not sure it uses all that much extra... only seen a very slight drop in my MPG. But I do long journeys in the main so its only burning for about 10 mins max and stays off the rest of the day.
How soon will you have a solution BN ? Be good to get one before the end of the Winter

We have the answers now, it is simply that it has to be tried and tested befor Webasto can sell it.

Be very careful, what with all this "fuel burning" the V8 option will soon be starting to make sense.

BN done 2 tanks since i last posted on this topic, are you ready 1st tank recorded 15.9 mpg 2nd tank 16.1 mpg and don't anyone say at least its getting better
THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE AND THE VEHILC IS GOING TO THE DEALER AGAIN ON THURSDAY
these figures are worked out manually by how many litres i have used on the milage done, had to turn the mpg reader of the computer it was making me depressed

Shawn, that is not right. Unless you are doing very short stop start driving it is appalling. My car that is going back has suddenly gone down to 25 mpg and I think that is terrible, but I know it is sick.

This is one of the areas that over a forum is very difficult to resolve. It could be the mapping of the engine upset or dare I say the way you drive, but unless you drive 2 miles with your foot to the floor and brake very hard as well all the time, you should get better than that.
Had it three weeks; done 1,100 miles and getting 25mpg (on display), 26mpg (calculated full-to-full). Better than I expected... Trying to keep to BN's torque recommendations but having too much fun to do that ALL the time.

Shawn, how many miles are you getting per tank? To guide you, I got 430 out of my last tank, and it took 81 litres to fill. (I always stop when the pump cuts off, I don't believe in brimming it as it can damage the breather system).
81 litres, divided by 4.55 = 17.8 imperial Gallons.
430 Miles divided by 17.8 Imp Gallons = 24.1 Miles Per Gallon.
You probably know the sums, but I thought I would show you how I work it out in case you are doing it differently.
My trip says 22.4 mpg at the moment, and it is an average over the last 2000 miles. Mixed use with plenty of long runs, 85 mph on motorways.
My car has covered 31000 miles.
I think if your figures are correct, your car needs attention.
