As above k&n seems to give no performance improvement over OEM and can cause issues.

Yep, avoid the K&N and stay with the original filter, but change every year.

Blanking the EGR is a good move.

Ik dacht dat je een maat groter had genomen, omdat je sprak van een lift kit.

hey everyone im new to the forum and just wanted to give my 2 cents. The K&N filters are junk and do nothing for you, better off keeping the stock filter in place, I have used them on my old Evo IX and dyno'd a before and after with the k&n and stock filter the k&n filter gained overall 2 whp but lost 4 whp at the bottom to mid range power on the dyno. If your looking for a good performance drop-in air filter look at pipercross they make top notch stuff and i have used there filters in my r6 track bike, my old Evo IX, and Evo X, so of course when looking for a little performance to get the Disco 3 moving i looked to them once again, so far i have been running the pipercross filter for 5 months now and have had zero problems there is a very slight noticeable increase in acceleration and and average of 1 to 2 mpg increase which is nice. just for a comparison when tossing the k&n filter in the trash and replacing it with the Pipercross filter on my evo IX and running it on the dyno the pipercross filter made 9 whp across the board. Here's there site check them out www.pipercross.net
