My thoughts are that none of that is correct!
Electric or Electronic Parking Brake (depending on which bit of the manual you read).
If you pull it up when moving a speed there is a short pause then a warning bong whilst it commands the ABS on all wheels to perform an elegant emergency stop.

Could be right! I suppose I am harking back to the "olden days" when the hand-brake was also referred to as an emergency brake. Still wonder what would happen though.D4 HSE MY2015

It is as I said above, so give it a try next time you are on an empty bit of road. You will be impressed.

Trust me, it is totally fine and the braking continues just as long as you hold up the EPB lever.

E is for electric or electronic (one of them). If i remember correctly if the EPB lever is pulled whilst driving it will initiate a full emergency stop using all the brakes on the car, so in that sense it also works as an Emergency brake if needed

Works well at 90mph ...it's not the components of the car that you need to be worried about ..it's all your internal organs trying to exit your body through tiny orifices 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

90 mph is hardcore testing!
No, I've not tried it at that speed.

I suspect it was more than 90 down the Gaydon straight if I'm honest ..my fellow forum passengers can vouch for it. Amazing stopping power though 8)21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Waahw, I was amazed. Pulling the lever while driving really works. I never had the guts to pull this ting while driving because I was afraid:

Same for the high/low gearing switch. I'm used to stop, transmission to neutral and only then switch high to low or reverse, for the same reason:
