Ukraine 2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 S Manual Zambezi SilverDiscovery 3

Shocked My hands are sweating watching it!

I went up to the top of the Eiffel tower last week. That was scary enough. The worst bit is when the lift rises from the second stage. Gave me the wobbles. Laughing

1983 apparently so he was 45 rather than 50+

I'd guess Fred ... but that would've been a less relaxed climb I reckon.

and who did the filming for the close-up bits? no drones then !

as for the mast climber ... clearly confident there wouldn't be a sudden gust of wind from the right !

I would worry you’d have a sudden uncontrollable muscle spasm if you weren’t hooked up, then it would be goodnight Vienna. Shocked

Being honest, who could climb the chimney Fred did if it was offered as a challenge for nice lump of cash?
No ropes as he did it. Just thinking about makes me squirm! And experience tells me its a lot more awkward going down than up.

Great video.

Spent a number of years rigging antennas on various masts around the UK and Europe.
On one job we had a guy spectating on the ground and the ground crew told us over the radio he was throwing up and asking us to stop, at the time I was hanging off the mast slightly inverted with my feet about 45 degrees above my head connecting an antenna. We never did find out why he was watching us if it made him that bad

Am I mistaken in thinking the power would be off when folks are up there working on the antennae?

So if this was unauthorised climb ... radiated nuts?
