No, the transmission controller seemed to be the best option at lunchtime. Now I'm really baffled. ALSO it's now STUCK in low ratio aargh.
Could a radio interference part REALLY cause this much woe?LR3 TDV6 diesel, grey, Auto, 2005, S spec

We unplugged it, turned car on, no change at all, so made a decision to focus on with module behind battery.LR3 TDV6 diesel, grey, Auto, 2005, S spec

After changing the traction control module have you reflashed with the latest software? I had to do this to cure similar problems on mine.

I had a very similar issue after washing out the battery tray. Problem was water in the top of the connectors of the transfer case control module, just behind the battery.
I took all the connectors in that area apart, dried them with a hair dryer, sprayed them with electrical contact spray and re-assembled.
