HELP! Cleaned engine bay, now have gearbox F=fault
HELP! I've cleaned my enghine with degreaser and hosed it with water, then sprayed with GT85 (with the main engine cover off).
GOOD NEWS = It looks immaculate!
VERY BAD = Engine FAULTS now showing!! Argh! Management system has lowered suspension!! AND F on dashboard saying 'Gearbox Fault' limp mode LIMITED GEARS! Also, special programmes OFF. ALSO, there's a light on showing LR car pitching left and right (yaw?)
ALL BECAUSE I WASHED THE BL**DY ENGINE....
I'm gutted!!!! Please, any advice welcome....

Check ecu plug behind battery. Failing that leave it overnight with bonnet open. Can u read the fault codes?

If it's any consolation you're not the first & wont be the last. Good luck getting it fixed.

WOW I'd be delighted if it's as simple as you're suggesting, I'm cacking my pants expecting some sort of 'ooh you've soaked the mother board, that's £££s' kind of response from a main dealer...
2 questions -
1. Did it need a main dealer to fix?
2. What did your 'fix' entail?
Thanks!

I'm sure! Learnt my lesson. Don't suppose you've any suggestions as to what the cause might be? Or whether it's a fix that any garage can do, or whether I need actual Land Rover? Thanks!LR3 TDV6 diesel, grey, Auto, 2005, S spec
