Had a nice route walking through central London planned, it’s 4km walk from one hotel to another and was planning to hop from park to park with lots of places to have a seat. Now found out there’s a piggin demo planned in the Downing Street area on Saturday, and no doubt most of the surrounding area, so my planning has all gone out the window and new route will be nowhere as nice route. Heads down staring at phone while walking along a busy road.
Highlight of yesterday's visit to town was the young lady so intent on her screen she didn't notice that she was heading toward the kerb, very slowly. After a few steps right foot dropped of the kerb and she fell over into the road. Thankfully there was a gap in the traffic and so she missed all cars. lorries, buses etc., her phone however detached itself from her hand, but did not miss the drain and vanished from sight into the depths of the muddy water below. She stood up and blamed everyone around for tripping her, pushing her or causing her to side step. Full marks to the young mum with twins in a buggy who explained it was her own fault as nobody was near her.
Oh how I do "enjoy" pedestrians who are so intent on their devises they are immune to the world around, which sometimes decides to take action of its own.

At one point, my children had an app that made the background of web-pages transparent so they could see where they were walking. Not sure if it still exists.

Young person blaming everyone but herself? Surely not!

I have a 16yr old like that. Currently sporting a nice forehead bruise from where they walked into a door that they assumed was fully open.

Sometimes people choose the harder learning pathways.

Didn’t the blue paint work? That’s what the water co here thinks fixes the leaks. Thumbs Up

Mat Handcock being entitled to a £16k severance pay, although as he’s left his Mrs. he might need it for a Solicitor.

There must be a limit to the hole size the blue paint can cope with Laughing

A few years ago I visited a site where a sink hole had opened up in front of someone's house. Luckily the house foundations were on piles. Took a lot of filling did that hole - it was big enough to put a house in!

eBay telling me that an item I was after - 2l 75w90 gear oil for the D4 - had gone out of stock.

Quickly found it elsewhere but paid £3 more (but it was from an approved Mannol dealer) ... only to then find the original offer was only out of stock because I'd put it in my basket. Banging Head
