TDV6 power steering filter

Found the filter in the bottom of the res today when draining the old fluid and wondered if you want the filter changed is it a case of bin the old res and buy a new one?

well yeah.

I just put some petrol in the container and got rid of most of the muck.

I may have followed it with fairy liquid.

I was thinking the same pete just blow some brake cleaner through it or something along them lines just wondered if I was missing something and it was replaceable Laughing

Our oldish Mondeo had a near-blocked filter on the PAS reservoir.
New ones from Ford were quite a bit cheaper than secondhand ones on eBay so might be worth checking.
Around £15 for a new reservoir, with the added benefit that you could see the PAS fluid level once more. Black 05 TDV6 HSE Auto
Grey 05 TDV6 HSE Auto (Gone)

cleaning the LR one, I was able to see the level again.

Filter can't really get blocked, as there is a hole in the corner
