When you unlock it in the dark an image of the Discovery is projected onto the floor under the mirrors, much like a mod some on here did with puddle lights that projected the LR image Cheers Ian

Seems like the Black Pack is becoming almost obligatory
http://indianautosblog.com/2013/09/2014-la...very-95687
Anyone else think the new rear light cluster black background is a mistake and that the effectiveness of the rear 'look' is now very dependent on body colour?
Disco refreshes are becoming a bit like iphone new models - great, but an ageing underlying product and, whereas each new iteration undeniably adds 'more', one can't help but feel the law of diminishing returns is kicking in quite heavily
So, real world 'benefits':
1. stop start - yes for economy (if it delivers in practice) and lower VED
2. rear a/c - for me a benefit as I (or rather the kids) use mine a lot currently - but should be standard on HSE upwards
3. extra toys - eg wade depth etc - really?
The other stuff is cosmetic and down to personal taste. Badging obviously a bone of contention amongst LR fans but will most buyers notice/care? Personally I think the new front lights/grill etc just (but only just) make it a forward step but the new look will be even more colour dependent, as noted above, and 'Black Pack' is being pushed very hard - if it's appearing on so many press vehicles surely it should be standard.
Anyway, blah blah blah will still get one, as my mileage alone means the fuel saving will pay for it well befor the D10 comes out...

like that colour but agree that the rear light change isn't great, would like to see it on a dark colour to see if that works. XC90 T8 R Design Pro

Different coloured wheel caps as well dependant on the wheel choice.

DJ that reminds me of a quote by a famous Italian car designer on seeing the TR7 for the first...he is reputed to have said "dear God,please tell me they haven't done that to the other side as well" !
Is is just the photo or have the nasty chrome fog light bezels been toned down on that one ? "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

Personally I think any of the rear light designs after the D3 red ones look like a chavved up corsa from the local supermarket on a Saturday night... but that's just my opinion
can't believe the rear air-con is not standard on HSE
Don't forget to leave it on at all times, otherwise the pipes will rot and cost you ~£700 to repair/replace (hear speaks the voice of experience) Disco3 is now gone but not forgotten. Waiting for Disco6 with full aluminium construction weight reduction and hybrid engine...

Agree, the rear lights are awful, fronts look superb the rears are just an afterthought and desperately need to be brought up to date. They could have used square individual clusters as on the latest FFRR

New Disco - looking very nice |

Looks nice, and dropping the 4 number, and going for Discovery as a brand. Clever marketing.

Has that car got grey tyres? They look lighter than the black on the wheels? Almost looks like a used set
