Is the auto dimming function permited by law? R87 dont says anything about it, but the function is present on some models of mercedes, leaving the drl dimmed with the headlights on.
Anyone knows?

LED FOG Driving lamps
Hi, tnx for informative thread.
I just got my selfe one off these kits. For my D3
But when i look at the schematic posted here, its different from mine, bought here in norway.
Mine are missing the 2 wires, that goes to each turn signal.... I was kind a hoping to use that dim function as well....
My set is called 102, but the kit posted on the pics earlier, is 101
Managed to install one lamp,before it got to late.
Found some plastic springs, about 6mm thick. Just perfect for the purpose. Believe u can use nuts as well. Take the next one tomorrow

Fit them behind the bumper plastic rather than in front. Negative spacer - anything you like! - Piece of cut up plastic, washers or whatever, no one will see it.Paul Redding

I fitted my set yesterday, what a it was to fit the lamps in the existing hole!
Does anybody have a picture of the fog lights on in the dark........I'm sure mine are not lighting up where they should!

Fitted mine either late last year or early this year but think I may of gone OTT as I thought that hanging them on two points was a bit flimsy so fabricated some aluminium rings and removed the bumper and bolted them all up. Seemed much better but did take a lot of time

Also, to those that had fitting issues with the D3, the earlier instructions to trim fog bezels are unnecessary. The trick is to install negative spacers so that fog sits further back inside the housing. The bezel will then click on without modification.
could you please tell me how you install this negative spacers to save you cutting the bezel thank you would you have any pictures

These pictures here are negative spacers, you fit them behind the fixing point then your DRL to the back of that.

I didn't use negative spacers with mine, I just fitted them to the back of the fixing point and then my surrounds fitted back on without trimming.........only just though! Here is a pic of mine.
