Happens every time a new model comes out
I had a D2 metropolis and went to launch of D3 - I said it looked like a van and I didn't like the loss of rear spare wheel or the price jump
I bought a FL2 next which I thought was amazing compared to FL1
All the guys on rrsport slagged off RRS2 and said it looked like an Ewok but it's selling like crazy and the RRS1 now looks old
People say the DS isn't as good as the FL2 and it's overpriced - I think it's brilliant but wish it was cheaper - that's life
LR are building the best vehicles they've ever done and making more money too. It would of been nice to see cheaper utility replacement ready when Def finished but they're victims of their success at momentWanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW
Still hoping for a S2 one day!

You guys really are getting worked up over the Defender going to save the day NOT....
Even outgoing vehicles were selling over £35k for what ? so don't expect the new one to be in the £20/30k..

Unfortunately Autocar do now share AE's habit of just making stuff up now. The fact that nothing's been heard of this in the 18 months since it was written isn't hugely surprising... 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4
2017 to date: FFRR SDV8
2023 to date: 2 x FL2 as “second” cars 🙄
2021 to date: Hinckley built ‘14 Triumph Trophy 1200
2022 to date: Hinckley built ‘14 Triumph Trophy 1200 & sidecar!

Interesting. I notice that the source is sufficiently well informed to describe the DS as being powered by a 2.2 diesel engine as late as two months ago. Oops 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

good god...its going to be a pedestrian vehicle
even more reason to hang on to what we have gotBREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.
Founder: Dipsticks-R-Us Inc
D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.
