I hope they don't call it Velar. For a start, the Velar was a prototype and that doesn't bode well for reliability!
F-Pace is smaller than RRS2, it's somewhere between Evoque and RRS2, from memory.Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

I followed this today on the M6 Toll south bound. Caught up with it at the toll booths.
Clever camo and perhaps some added panels, made it impossible to say for sure if it's a single piece tailgate or not. If I was forced to bet either way I'd go single piece though.
2" receiver clearly on show. Although that's probably there to mount the mystery box, as per other pics. on here.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Which might have a back rest. Not so good for those of us with dogs. I have crate that comes right upto the end of the boot. The tailgate of the D3/4 just clears it.
I'm sure it's going to be a great vehicle and I think I'll like the shape, BUT a lot less practical than what we have now. I love having a big rectangular box on wheels.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Well I've hedged my bets with a new Landmark. I'm hoping that a late D4 could hold its value well.
If the D5 doesn't suit me, I'll keep the D4 for ages. It's still a lovely vehicle to drive and own, despite its age.
If the D5 does suit, then I wouldn't want one for at least a year or two anyway, as I don't trust JLR to deliver a new vehicle without some teething problems. By that time the new Defender should be more known about as well.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Gerry McGovern claims the new one is every bit as practical as the current one. Really! I'm not convinced on that one.23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

It's time for him to go, he created a beautiful looking car in the Evoque but has now lost all imagination and just replicating it throughout the range it's all getting a bit boring.
Then again it may look stunning in the flesh. I'm opting for Phoenix Orange with black pack if that colour is an option.23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green
I serviced my XK on Wednesday....
I had a new XF with the 180 2 litre Ingenium Diesel .... 8 speed box
I found it very weak & thrash yin the first three cogs.....underpowered.
If this engine goes into the Disco 5 it will be abominable.....skins off rice puddings comes to mind
The rest of the XF is very nice though...terrific road holding at speed (Flockton road fro Wakefield to Huddersfield - FAST...all the ecoutriments work well
The infotainment very good
The speed sign warnings in middle of dash console very nice feature
Very civilised on motorways...
Very very large boot
But fundamentally under engined...they can't be serious this set up goes in Disco 5 ?BREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.
Founder: Dipsticks-R-Us Inc
D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.
