Not impressed at all..
Horrible !
....the suicide door/s is a total gimmick....the total opposite of function dictates form....one of the essential rules for design
If there is a problem with 4 doors hinged at the front - why invoke this mess ?
....gull wing doors never really made it - mass market..& there have been numerous alternatives...none simple or for that matter practical....style gimmick
Above all it has to be manufacturable..& I dont see this as being so the single hinge on the rear....I would surmise is a disaster at the design desk regardless of being used, lasting & being maintained
Also the shape of its bum is very nearly Renault bad...a shape that lasted no time all all...style gimmick
COME ON LAND ROVER - this is the Discovery replacement[/u] surely the successor to the 3/4 can be this paltry & sickening...however there is no accounting for taste
what P.I.L.L.O.C.K. in marketing thought this one up ?...its like some very poor chinese look alikeBREXIT - done properly.

It's the "Discovery Vision Concept" - and it's in extreme bad taste.

I quite like it. Easy to put a tarp up over the top across the doors for a wider area covered when out and about.Bodsys Brake Bible
NONE of it makes production & LR see sense in incremental change..
developing whats gone before in a power house of a vehicle that logically follows the D3/4
if potential customers want bits that can be painted to satisfy their bling tendencies let them go buy something else from another maker - LR please done abandon the core values
this is a sports utility vehicle that does lots of tasks very very well (if you need to know what this means look at the Autocar inclusion in their monthly magazine & the LR brochure on this subject
It all doesn't have to be swapped out & the things that are good abandoned...
the user following (like on here) is one of the most powerful things that can be had & it can easily be lost
what beats me is that the other side of the company (Jag) are doing very smart, logical things to expand into market sectors that they dont currently occupy (small saloon / possible estate / possible more)..OK they will never be as big as BMW, Merc or VW/Audi...but they can take a huge slice of their cake.
I hope they doBREXIT - done properly.

The front end design doesn't lend itself to the fitting of a winch and A bar, the RAI may also be a problem.GAP IID Pro Multi Vehicle Defender L316 2007-2015 - Discovery 3 - Discovery 4 - Discovery Sport L550 - Freelander 2 - Range Rover Evoque L538 - Range Rover L322 - Range Rover L405 - Range Rover Sport L320 - Range Rover Sport L494 Electrical Fault Diagnostics

In the videos that were released, it was a 1 piece tailgate, with a seat that comes out the boot...
Hopefully, that wont make it to production, and we will still have a 2 piece tailgate
EDIT: "Social seating"
...and where does a 3500kg rated towing hitch fit with all that gubbins at the back core values - gone

The doors I could see as being very practical with no B pillar, good job.
I like the rear styling but no split tailgate would make it 100% no as I find that so useful!
Obviously needs to be bigger
Front needs to come a little more back "this" way than being a RR wannabe.
At present it couldn't replace the Disco and if it was a 2nd car I don't see what this offers that an evoque or RRS wouldn't.MY15 DIY Black Pack (Better than factory and half the price!)

Doors is a very BIG plus especially f you have young kids to put in and out of child seats, would make it so easy.
I actually like it as a whole but agree there could be some tweaks, split tailgate, slight changes to front end for better suitability for winch , spots etc.
Overall I think it is a winner and will fly off the production line and will be very similar when the production vehicle comes out.MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange
