Why is everyone so serious
It will sell like hotcakes and all of this rambling on about how "I'm not going to buy one because it's a bit curvy" is a fruitless exercise ...it's too late chaps ...it's too late 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
As you say DG.. If you like it and can afford it you'll by one, if not you'll find another money pit to throw your cash at. Ok maybe a LR, maybe not, but we are only a fraction of the customer base LR have so I say enjoy it while you can and laugh - it might not happen. LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Yes but when I've actually stubbed my toe ...not a year earlier
It'd probably take you a year to notice you'd stubbed you toe, you old Dinosaur LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Don't ...I stubbed it on the end of the bed in France in the middle of the night ...screamed the place down like a girl 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Well that's subjective, as it's not as if we are in the complete dark about the nature of it, but all our comments are only provisional, and I, for one, have no intention of trying to reach any full conclusion yet. In truth, my comments are thus aimed only with regard to existing vehicles, LR or otherwise, and I don't pretend otherwise. I/we are merely registering concerns based on the evidence available; we all do it as a feature of language in its own right.
One minute you say it's too late, another you say it's too early...Is discussion banned during the entire design phase? Would be a dull thread if we all sat around saying "What do you think the D5 will be like?" "I dunno, I ain't seen it. Have you?" "No." Current: Discovery 3 06MY (55 reg) HSE Auto Zambezi Silver Allisport Fast Road Intercooler, V8 Brakes, Silicone IC Hoses, EGRs Blanked, Remapped, De-Cat pipe, FBHIC

I remember when the D3 came out LR said it was 100% new design without using any parts from the D2. Given the fact the D5 is so similar in shape to the RRS I wonder what percentage of parts will be used between them. Aside from the D5's technology hopefully the part sharing leads to less teething problems.16 D4 Landmark

I do like to keep my options open
I could begin to engage in Descartes Meditations and convince you that everything is subjective my dear imaginary friend ...anyway I would hate to get in the way of a good ole whining thread ...so feel free 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

What i like about the D5 is that its taken from the RRS...so finally all those that made the (wrong) comment that the awesome sport was a D3or4 in drag will no have to admit the D5 is the bloated sibling of the sport Mike
