It's easy to be critical and forums populated by owners of cars about to become 'old' tend to be more negative than the market as a whole.
Indeed, on this negative vein, the loss of the split tailgate is a step back and making it more premium makes it cost more. When will this price cliff level off? For me there is a limit to what a 4 cylinder car can sell for but how much for a 6? Possibly too much for my pocket.
Anyway I hope they get it right. If it works I might have one but if not I might try and economise with a DS once they give it some more power and/or a petrol engine.2014MY Discovery

The Discovery will be based on the same platform as the RRS, it will share many parts with the RRS, the quality is likely to be up there with the RRS (which may or may not be a good thing)
There is no reason to expect the Discovery to be priced much different to the RRS, so expect £50k+
I also believe that a lot of current D3/D4 owners will be waiting for info on the new Defender before committingMy D3 Build Thread
I'm sure D5 will be a great vehicle, probably an D5 or L405 which will replace Swmbo's FFRR TDV8 eventually when they have depreciated to around £20k in price, but personally I've high hopes and really looking forward to the new Defender

So D3 £30-45k, D4 £40-55k and D5 £50-70k............DS sounds great.
The RRS2 did have an "Entry level" SE model, at £52k, but was dropped as it made up a tiny percentage of sales. The next cheapest in the line up was the HSE, at as near enough £60k
It's not unreasonable to think the Disco 5 will start at £48k or so for an equivalent of today's GSMy D3 Build Thread

Ftfy I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
