I agree there, those particular rims don't do it any favours, but I think that's the intention. Once the disguise is removed and with a different style and colour of wheel the story will probably change.
Sliding doors; no thanks - not robust enough for a practical LR.Current: Discovery 3 06MY (55 reg) HSE Auto Zambezi Silver Allisport Fast Road Intercooler, V8 Brakes, Silicone IC Hoses, EGRs Blanked, Remapped, De-Cat pipe, FBHIC

Had sliding doors on commercial vans for years they work great however I do support some of your caution as LR would probably over engineer with automatic ones and fail miserably MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

Vans, yes, but this is a LR; it needs to cope with dirty, off-road conditions and muddy boots etc. They're also heavier to use without added power and limit storage space. remote control electric sliding doors on the Citroen C8 I had prior to the D3's were actually quite cool and useful car parksSteve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

That is one ugly looking side profile. Why curve it?
Agree, looks like it's going down the rearwards 'sloping' roof profile like all others in the LR brand.
A 'stadium' roof needs to be horizontal [like the D1&2, D3&4] to be effective.
Why slope it if you want to create [the effect of] headroom
To mix a 'sloping' with a 'stadium' roof would be a total mish mash.

If it looks like that it I would love one, but think it will be priced at far more than I would be prepared to spend.Club Narpy Torch

It is a grower. For me it depends on how it's priced and how much bang you get for your buck.23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

Not so sure how a 2.0 litre will perform in that even if it is a lot lighter than a D4. The vents on the front don't look covered on that one.MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

Are the new XC90's not all various 2.0 litres? But I would agree it seems small for a Discovery.Andy

I think you can get a Volvo xc90 2.0. Will be interesting to see its stats, won't be the tow car of the year engine of choice! I'm seriously hoping for something decent with a bit more poke than the current 3.0 offering.MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

Yes, all the new XC90 engines are 2.0 litres.
Diesel 2.0 225 hp 400 Nm
Petrol 2.0 320 hp 470 Nm
Diesel electrical hybrid 2.0 407 hp 640 Nm
I would expect the D5 to also come in a hybrid version.
Togehter with a weght loss of 350 kg, I belive a 2 litre engine with 225 hp would perform well in line with D4 with a 255 hp engine.
