Mine didn't even make a mile! |
|
Turned up at the dealers today at 3pm as agreed to take delivery of my MY14 HSE Lux.
Hadn't even seen the car and when I arrived it was sat in the showroom all covered up waiting to be presented to me.
After sorting all the paperwork and legal bits I was treated to a very detailed instruction of all the controls etc.
I left the dealers with a grin the size of Cheshire on my face
Less than a mile later dash goes mad and I get the message Gearbox Fault
Turned around and straight back to the dealer. Upon investigation it needs to be looked at!
So instead of a lovely D4 Lux sat on my drive I have a FFRR Vogue!
Can't fault the dealer they have been fantastic.
Makes me wonder if I should have parted with my D3
Hope to hear some more tomorrow!!! D4 HSE Lux - Santorini, Privacy, RLD Protector
D3 Stornaway Grey - Gone but not forgotten.

Sorry to hear about this. There's been a few cases of D4 going sick straight off the dealers forecourt, my own had some bits missing. Makes you wonder how thorough the PDI is. However, in all cases that I know of, the new owner has been looked after, and ended up a happy chap.
It shouldn't be like this, and both LR and the dealers need to take it seriously.

I have to say the dealer, Sturgess of Leicester, have been excellent so far.
My only reservation being that it took only a mile for me to find the problem and when I got in it the car had only done 14 miles. Did anyone road test it before as part of the PDI?
Can't wait to get my hands back on it! D4 HSE Lux - Santorini, Privacy, RLD Protector

Sorry to hear about your problem Thelo3. Regarding the problem though, it could be as simple as a weak battery. Hope you get it sorted asap!
