Personally I'm very grateful for all the articles hints and tips on this. I'm about to fit the timed remote to my GS later today and enable it with my new IID BT if all goes well. Exciting times D4 GS 12MY

So, got the IID BT activated and working using the advice given by DiscoMikey in the topic in Group Buys on IID - 1st time use and Q's. An excellent quick start guide with pics.
Only one slight issue. I Downloaded the updater to check firmware as per DMs notes and expected to get 3 numbers, Current, Release and Special ( for satnav on move). Could only see the Release and Special, no current firmware number I don't know whether this is because my firmware is already up to date??
Anyhow plugged it in and checked for faults, finding surprisingly I had one! Not bad for a 4 year old car, so cleared that.
Then edited the HVAC file. 3 changes needed:
Timed climate to Enabled
FBH Call Start to Fitted Radio
FBH to Fitted Parking Heat
Opened the cubby hole in the back on the right, and removed the jack and brace. Found the small black connector under some grey foam rubber right behind where the jack sits ( not further forward as some have shown it). Plugged the aerial into the remote module and before plugging in the black connector, turned the ignition on (not engine), got the keyfob ready, plugged the black connector in and within 2-6 secs, pressed the off switch on the remote for 2ish secs.
Then scratched my head as it was 9degs so too warm to test the FBH. So went back into the IID software to the Service/Test section and the Auxillary Heater ECU and did a Fuel Prime, which took about 2 minutes and was clearly audible, then into Check Operation (start engine), which resulted in clouds of smoke from the front if the car. Yay it ran for about 3 mins before completing the test.
Happy so far then, I know the FBH works, think I've got the remote working, but gonna leave it and see if I can remotely operate it from my bedroom window tomorrow morning. D4 GS 12MY

Great article chaps - Clearly found my way here after a search.
I have a 2010 D4 XS Could any one advise me of the part numbers I need for the remote activation. I think I found a local member to sort the CCF.

Thanks Darryl, just the job!
Just done some more trawling and found this may be of interest to others on the same quest.
