In Wales we had the giant, King Bendigeidfran - in English - BrĂ¢n the Blessed.
The records are not clear as to his relationship with Brian Blessed.

Diolch yn fawr, especially for reminding me of one of my early childhood heroes Manawydan, along with Hereward the Wake.
Both seemed, even in those days before "Camelot", to be men of the people, concerned with freedom, rather than chasing around after Grails and suchlike.
Manawydan even paddled barefoot across from Wales, with his army, to help his Celtic chums in the island of Ireland.
Question of the day:
Were Manawydan, along with Hereward the Wake, BrExiteers?

Hi, I've a brand new boxed log splitter which I'm going to be putting up for sale shortly if your interested?
I ended up with two. I use exactly the same as the one for sale so can vouch that it's a good bit of kit.
I'll get a link and some pics if you like
YES, please.
Much appreciated.....................

What do you guys use to cut logs down to size for a small open fire? I have plenty of cut logs but they are too long for our fire. I've heard some people use a mitre/chop saw but I have a feeling that could be dangerous if it kicks back.

Chop saws are fine, it's what they are designed for.
Probably safer than a chain saw for smaller logs

I'm inclined towards a chop saw for the amount Inwill be cutting as I did buy a cheapo electric chain saw that was at best useless. At least I could use a chop saw for other projects. Thanks for the feedback.

In my early childhood, we lived in the former servants' quarters of an isolated manor house built Circa 1600.
NO mod cons at all, water from a well in the cellar.
The privy was in an outhouse, some way from the Manor, and to gain access I had to go thru' the chickens' enclosed area.
I soon learned which were friendly, which indifferent and which were down-right hostile.
Who needs tranqs or sleeping tabs if you have the presence of a happy chicken - outside a slightly open window. And the prospect of a FRESH egg, lightly boiled - with 'soldiers' .
However, eating a 'friend' was something one had to get used to on the occasions that egg production was consistently below feeding costs for that individual ...
