Just had to reorder some logs. It's not been cold, but I seem to have gone through a lot.

Bah humbug, got my first cold of the festive season.
But nobody can be uncheered by a log burner on an otherwise cold and miserable day.

That is some setup you have there. Is the round one by the rad with the big logs on wheels?
Is the tall one with the smaller logs also on wheels? It looks very close to the ground.

I may have to order some more seasoned logs to see out the winter too. Most of what I have got left will not be ready till the end of the year. Empty wood racks surround Robbie Towers, which is far less satisfying. Best I stay indoors.

Just simple steel racks, no wheels or anything. Both came from Germany, both via Amazon. I am very pleased with them.

Hi,
had to start splitting some of our Willow rounds at the start of the week as the "ready to use" pile was empty
and
we have been burning some of the steam coal as well.
Current little project is to make a fitting for the top of the Hi Lift jack so I can use it as a log splitter rather than swinging the axe I have the bits, but there in 3 pieces still

Picked up this lot from a friends farm today, with another similar sized load to collect tomorrow
They've had a timber clad house built, with all the cladding milled on site, so lots of off cuts to make use of!

My body doesn't know if it is too hot or too cold, but the stove is nice and hot.

Anyone got a link for places that sell log stores? I've just booked a tree surgeon to come and take several trees down so need somewhere to store / cure the wood for the next couple of years!!
