It is quite a vehicle. Mine did the school run, 6seats in use, spent a fair bit of the morning making a new track (all 4 wheels doing their own thing with TC helping) and then a motorway blast this pm. There are not many cars so useful. Difficult driving in this rain. The ground is very very wet and even Cooper STs were acting like slicks. Didn't get stuck but got to some very funny angles including one fright on a subtle side slope. All I could think about was £30000 of Buckingham blue sitting in the stream at the bottom.

and when you caught one... Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?

What did you do in your Discovery 3 today?
Left it at the dealers....
drove away in a new one
The best bit- EPB now releases automatically on manual models
Quote:
Electric parking brake automatic release -
manual tranmission models
If the vehicle is stationary with the electric
parking brake applied, press the accelerator
and release the clutch to drive away. The
parking brake will release automatically.
Automatic release will operate in first, second
and reverse in high range and first, second,
third and reverse in low range
To delay automatic release, hold the electric
parking brake lever in the applied position, and
release at the desired point.
Next-best bits
one touch indicators
clock on instrument panel
seats feel more compliant / graded - although it could just be the old-to-new transition, no electric lumbar support though, not that it really bothers me
Bits i'm not sure about
new instrument panel - looks a bit RRS
contrast levels on Nav. display (might just need tweaking)
Bit I don't like
'lights on' indicator on instrument panel - do they think i'm stupid or care? bit too 'in yer face' for me, I can see it getting annoying on a long drive
Having now got used to the TC treatment, I was expecting it to feel like a slug moving across a bucket of grease, pleasantly suprised to find out the difference is minimal 8) ... wonder what it would be like with an upgrade?
Still, perma- refreshed, can't wait to take it to bits!
