I'm with Brendan on this.
If he had delivered the package himself, what happens if the goods were damaged or missing? I presume that there is some sort of carrier insurance on them - if Hermes has registered the parcel as successfully delivered, the insurance would end. If Brendan dropped the goods on his way over, who is liable for the damage?
And being bloody-minded about these things is the only way to get the message through.
Hermes is being paid to deliver the goods - Brendan isn't.2014 - D4 2010 HSE Nara Bronze

What message would that be! That you hate Hermes with a passion? I would have simply dropped it off and it would have given me a chance to catch up with a neighbouring business. Each to their own!

Or could Brendan have just kept them under Unsolicited Goods regs?

Don’t mention Hermes. Looks like up here they have gone into meltdown. Informed package due on the 13th. Notified “there is a problem” some outage whatever that is. Since then nothing either from the supplier or Hermes. Promised to get back to me within 24 hrs, that was on the 14th. Speaking to a few neighbours some have the same problem only for longer. Can only live in hope.Once you have defeated the idiots any job is half done. Pity there are so many idiots to defeat.

Hermes is actually very good up in Argyll as they don't have any of the usual drivers operating from their own vehicles at all hours of the day and night.
All packages are delivered by a real courier, in our case AM Transport from Campbeltown.
Before they started delivering here we had the option of paying over the odds for courier delivered packages or bog standard Royal Mail
Why does he need a transvestite? Is it an Amazon diversity policy?

Or you could have simply dropped if off at the correct address next door! There are bigger things in life to get stressed about!
To do that I would have to walk past the Hermes door!
They are paid to deliver the goods I am not.
Unfortunately we see how the Hermes drivers treat the parcels, including kicking them across the yard, throwing them over a 10ft fence etc.
They are also quite happy to block our gates and I am the rude one when I tell them to shift as we require access to our own yard.
The local Hermes drivers are not employed by Hermes but are self employed operatives who get paid 50-70p per parcel to deliver them. You can do the maths on how many parcels they need to deliver/hr to make the living wage!

F-Ing eBay buyers who buy something that’s listed will full descriptions and details of the item as given by its manufacturers, then when they receive it, say it’s not the right item they need. It’s only £4.99 FFS.
I wouldn’t normally give a refund, but have said if they send it back, arriving it the same condition it was delivered in, then I will issue a refund. Hopefully they have half a brain and realise it will cost more to send back than the refund would be.

Hermes, just leave the cardboard box at the bottom of my drive out in the open. The only way I know it has been delivered is when I get an email then have to walk down and get it. They can't be bothered to walk to the front door.
Fedex, charge for something and when trying to dispute, just get copy and paste generic answer. Then get threatening letters for debt collection. I could never get to talk to customer services.
Why, oh why did I think it would be a good idea to take my wife to the horse auctions (not to sell her, she was looking for one)?
Agree a limit, divide it down into guineas and that's the red line. The limit. The price that we stop at. The ceiling. The cap. The nogo point. The boundary. The cut-off point. The utmost reach. She gets into a bidding war and bursts past the red line, ending up 35% past it.
I told her not to show interest in it before bidding. Nope, talking to the owner and pointing the horse out to me. I told her not to mention the lot number. Nope, she's discussing that a lot. I told her to wait until the last knockings. Nope, she starts waving her buyer number about at the start.
Too much Cash in the Attic!

Mine is now forbidden from going to auctions after completely ignoring my "that's not what you think it is, and even if it was it's only worth £30" and ending up paying £60, then buying another for £68!
So if anyone wants a couple of completely random Victorian pauper's grave markers that she was convinced were WW1 War Graves registration markers, give me a yell I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
