Really? I think anything less that euro6 will be banned by 2022 and then the progressive screw will be turned further unless a more significant healthy diesel can be produced...isn't Bosch doing something to rid them of NoX?

I with DG on this. I don’t think older cars will necessarily get taxed more, because they are generally driven by lower income people. However I do see their value decreasing as a result of being excluded from use in certain areas.
Unless you can say to yourself that you will never need to drive into town for example, then an older car might not be so attractive anymore.
I drove into central Manchester this morning in my 2002 Defender, I bet I won’t be doing that for much longer if Andy Burnham gets his way! (He needs to sort his train set out first though)

Fortunately, with a Euro 6 Diesel and the likelihood that I can comfortable avoid ever having to drive into a big city again, I may just be okay! 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4
2017 to date: FFRR SDV8
2023 to date: 2 x FL2 as “second” cars 🙄

Never take my car into the city centre, there is 2 good Park & Ride facilities with buses every 15mins. £5.60 day return, but as I work for the company it’s free.23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

We already know that the EU and UK are negative markets for JLR ...but then this is pretty much reflected in all manufacturers with a heavy diesel bias in their engine range.
Volvo increased sales in Europe in 2017 by 3.3% and they have a huge diesel bias, really. APAC Y/Y increase was 21% or something.

I always smile at my passengers, it confuses them. Love it when they blame me for being late, I just smile and say “I’m only as fast as the person boarding” 23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

JLR sales soar as market recovers
Jaguar Land Rover roared ahead of the pack as carmakers saw sales on the rise in the UK last month. After months of falling demand, the UK's new car market warmed up in May with a modest rise of 3.4 per cent, as 192,649 new cars were registered. However, JLR saw much faster growth. Jaguar sales rose by 19.7 per cent, to 3,096, while Land Rover sales rose 16.8 per cent to 6,566.

I use Oxford's Park and Ride when I go in to the centre. It's about £4.60 for the day return, depending on time of travel. Nice and easy and you get to look at the scenery whilst going in to town. I'm a fan.
I'm less of a fan of Oxford on the occasion I have to drive in for work. Parking is a nightmare as most residential streets are permit holder parking with the occasional non-permit spaces dotted around. The walk from the available spaces is good for me, I'm sure, but on a wet day, I'd rather not get soaked.
Oxford have some plan for making the city car free at some point in the near future. I assume this will be for non-residents but it will make life tough for those who need to drive in to do a single job or for those such as delivery drivers.Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

Go on, you know you want to. £180k = no problem for a man of your calibre.
Besides, spend it on something nice before Corbyn takes it from you.
