Just passed a bad accident on the M66 on my way back from man air. There are about 10 cars and lorries involved. It is between junctions 2 & 3 where the wind is blowing snow onto the carriageway from the wide open fields. Hope all are ok. The problem is people just go bowling into near zero visibility and hope for the best but unfortunately this time there were cars stopped in the snow. I have been out since 3 this morning and i have to say its some of the worst driving conditions I have seen for many years. Stay safe my friends The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;
They just make the best of everything they have.
If I do not have to put my D3 in off road height to lift the exhaust pipes clear of the snow before I start her, I swear I will never look at a weather forecast again!!! ------------------------------

If the conditions get especially bad I'll take out the CRV, for which I have some rather nice Thule/Konig chains.Black 05 TDV6 HSE Auto

My folks' D4 (in Cardiff) is fully prepared for Emma. It's tucked up in the garage and isn't coming out til normal service (rain) has been restored.

We're getting a fair bit here now, I did a bit of work earlier and took these snaps while I was out, the car coped really well considering it's on standard tyres!

I like snow as much as the next Discovery owner, but to be honest, as fun as it is for one day, I'm fed up with it now. Kids off school again tomorrow, that'll be four days. No work done yet this week, can't even get stuff delivered, no courier service is running. Trying to order some heating oil, and they are all shut too!Richard
