Had Chrimbo pud last night. Bought in the discounting frenzy before new year. Takes even nicer.

Well, the Beast has certainly lived up to it’s reputation and everything that was threatened has come to fruition with maybe more to come in the South tomorrow. After that it looks like we may well get sone relief at last as from Sunday in the South but don’t count your chickens in the north just yet. Anyhow, today is the first day of meteorological spring but can you believe it! I don’t expect any spring temps until a few weeks yet. Those who are farmers have had a particularly difficult time lately and anyone within the care system must have struggled so hats off to you all.

Our little Outlander was dragging her bum in the snow this-morning.
More momentum was required.

Blue light ambulance couldn’t get down our road to attend a patient. We heard the paramedics walking past and next thing over 40 folk from all around were down digging the road clear and scattering what grit and salt we could muster. We live at the top of a hill but never see a plough or gritter. We managed to get it clear and ambulance was on its way back out within about 30 minutes.
Snow is over the top of wellies on the flat and mid thigh (granted, I’m only 5ft) elsewhere. Obligatory wheelie bin pic follows.
