Freezing rain was the problem today! Front of my car looked like a ship on an arctic run, plastered in ice. Little bit of snow later on.
Did come across a chap who had just fitted snow socks to his BMW, then nearly piled into me when he gunned it in excitement. Trouble was he'd fitted them to the front wheels.

Only a little here, but I’m impressed with the disco, especially the HDC!

What bad weather?
Given hotel booked and paid for with no cancellation option we decided to head off to Beer in Devon yesterday from Stratford upon Avon.
A46 down to M5 pretty clear and light traffic flowing fine. M5 deserted, two lanes clear and third not that bad until Bristol. Radio warnings of accident saw us slow down for about 30 seconds due to complete lack of cars on the road. The last 30 miles we went ‘proper’ cross country and, again, deserted and no issues.
We were in Disco’ Sport but frankly a front wheel drive would have been no issues.
Got to hotel and sat and watched TV reports that Devon is in apocalypse grip of weather and if you go out you WILL die..... [/u]

Spookily in Kentishshire it got far worse again...still have 5-6 inches from beginning of the week then yesterday morning we had the freezing rain which covered the cars and road surface in sheet ice...then we had another 2 inches of snow yesterday for which caused subsequent chaos...
The wind has also blown the snow off the fields and we now have 3-4 ft drifts in the lanes making most of them impassable!
Tractors now pulling Defenders out.....

Just popped up to +2.7c here so shovelled off the 1/2 inch or so of snow from last night and got some salt down. Will hopefully stop it icing up where we (and the oil tanker) have driven over it.
