I now live in Lahti, I hear it's nice.
Lahti is sometimes referred to as Finland’s Chicago. The city grew at a fast pace (in the past), it had big meat packing plants, more recently had a quite dodgy reputation and there were plenty of violence in the 60s and 70s.

Back on the road early this morning, got away just before 6 o'clock. Weather is pretty bad with lots of spray, quite windy, but eventually my desire for coffee was stronger than my desire to keep dry. Brekkie is now done and heading up to Denmark.
Now you see why I can't have a D5 on a trip like this, I'd starve to death!

Thanks for the cheery wave, sorry I didn't reciprocate, brain wasn't firing on all cylinders then.
Ah well I feel even more honoured it was lucky that I clocked the reg and realised it would be you. Im quite used to doing the cheery wave from when I used to truck along the continent. I hit a load of traffic at the Antwerpen ring road 😫
Del … I think it's safe to say you'll pass the 60,000 milestone pretty soon ! That's posts on here, not miles !

Hope day 2 is going well. Saw your new link for Glympse. Just went to it, and saw you are having a good time. Think you are supposed to go around roundabouts though..
Take it you've got a snorkel, or are you just showing off.

No Oztent this year, it's tonight a PITA in the car and end up using it coz I've brought it. Mix of wild campervanning, using the small tent I have and hotels.
What a difference a day makes. Traffic has been fine, weather not too bad, even on the bridges, and much more enjoyable than yesterday. Stopped for lunch near the start of the E4, ham and cheese sarnies. Well more like ham and cheese loaf!!
If anyone is feeling hungry, look away now.

Tell me about it, it's always bad there. I took a different route up to the ring, coming off the E40 at J17 and avoiding the E17. Not as bad as the deals around Arnhem, that was well gridlocked though Suzie guided me round it pretty well. Gotta love Google Maps.

@ Rnclayton, that's was for the McDees at Copenhagen airport, last break before the bridge.
Got mandatory pics of the 3 bridges, will post from hotel tonight. All very The Bridge/Wallander/Scandic Noir.
