Germany 2013 Discovery 4 3.0 SDV6 HSE Auto Santorini BlackDiscovery 4

Today i put the body back on the chassis.

All stuff is connected.

But the starter does not crank the engine.

The only faults i can find with the IID Tool are from the cooling fan control unit.

Can this be the reason why the starter does not work?

The mass cables are connected and after checking all other cables i can't find the problem.

Does anybody got an idea?

Happy end!

I bridged the starter switch and the engine runs fine.

After bleeding the brake lines the starter switch works.

Only one fuel line is leaking at the back of the engine. But i am hopeful to fix the problem tomorrow.

Great write up, enjoyed the read. I am doing one 2015 D4 at the moment that has a similar problem where the cam shaft chain tensioner let go but the chain had not Brocken. On stripping the engine completely I found no damage to anything so I am starting the rebuild on it.

Where did you get your parts from in the end?

Excellent bit of work. Well done dawa. Another one saved.
I admire anyone who has the Knowledge, the skills and the balls to take these projects on. I can't imagine ever being able to do something like this. Thanks for taking the time to write it up. Great to have people with this sort of experience on the forum.
Good luck to Hensh too.
