What sort of set up have you got and how do you use it?
its a surepower relay (ARB).
doesn't happen n the coast. just recently up in the blue mountains of a morning when the ext temp is less than 10c
I'll start monitoring the main voltage as well instead of only the aux, it maybe a faulty relay.

Just for info, I haven't experienced that the D3 won't start, even at -24Celcius. But, it's clear that it struggles abit at these temperatures....just looking to optimize if possible

Why not do it yourself.
The D3 is the easiest vehicle I have ever worked on to run cables through.2008 TDV8 RR Lux + 2009 D4 2.7

just fitted a third battery (yellow top X 2) in front of the start battery. Simply made up a 3mm metal bracket to support it as the body dips down in that section and fitted a home made battery tie down setup. Used the 4 existing fixing points available.
Also removed both computors from behind the start battery to water proof them and the wiring loom (as I live on a flood plain and travel thru deep water when we're flooded in - which hasn't happened for a few years) With respect - to those who have given advice on how to do it - I don't really think you've pulled them 'right out' to seal them and seal them to the fire wall - because it's one hell of a job - far more detailed than reported - and they don't sit in a 'box' (although it may look like it until you strip them out) as has been suggested. I was most relieved when the motor started after its open heart surgery. On a brighter note - the pics and notes on the forum gave valuable hints on wiring set up to reinstall it all.
Still looking for a D3 auto elec in NE VIC OR Albury NSW OR around the Romsey Vic area to do all the electrical work at the one time
thanks

I might just do it myself after all.
These are my parameters.
I have 2 yellow tops for under the bonnet (one already physically fitted - but not wired up as detailed earlier) the other will go in the normal 2nd battery spot on drivers side.
I need at least 2 12 volt points in the back and another in the middl3e seat area.
I have a small 12ft offroad van fitted with 2 batteries in tandem.
I therefore need to connect up all 4 extra batteries and charge them from the vehicle, hopefully you can help me out with this.
I'm a novice on installation of electronics
Thanks for your help

Hi Preacher, take some pictures of how you have your batteries mounted and post them up here.
I can take it from there and talk you through an installation.
This is more like an plumbing job than an electrical job. You don’t even need a multi meter, just some basic handyman tools.
Lets see how you go!2008 TDV8 RR Lux + 2009 D4 2.7

OK Preacher, first off, which one of my kits do you have and can you take a few more pics of your draw bar and around the front of the CT boot.
Also, is the second battery to be used for winching?2008 TDV8 RR Lux + 2009 D4 2.7

I don't have one of your kits - yes the second and third battery will be used for winching, duel fridges, extra 12v points inside etc
Pictures follow
