Didn’t stay long, it’s already back over the Gulf of Oman.
We're on the ground for minimum times!
Not arguing at all, sounds really smart to have very fast turn arounds
(Seen the people running next to planes today…… )

They want access to the natural resources one way or another. Afghanistan has plenty of that in the ground. They’re not too picky on basic human rights either.

There’s actually a NOTAM for civilian flights for Afghanistan FIR. I doubt many would want to ignore it. It’s posted on AFGAIS.

I doubt the military would want to do that with their aircraft, however.

He inherited a "deal" from Trump's time, which won't have helped. But it certainly feels like the Yanks could have managed it better. I guess the issue is that however the US/UK/Germany pulled out, the Taliban would have just waited until the forces were out of the way and then done what they did last week.
The reality is that the local armed forces were not up to the job - doubtless many of them were just in the army in order to get money/food. I doubt they had the professional attitude of the west's forces, nor the belief that the Taliban has. They were always going to fold as soon as any pressure was applied.
One thing Biden has in his favour is that the US population in general favours pulling out of Afghanistan. So they're perhaps less likely to punish him at the polls next time - assuming he doesn't mess up something closer to home, of course. The American right are trying to pin it all on Biden but they forget that the internet is the world's memory now - every thing that Trump and the GOP said about pulling out is there to be read - even where they have deleted the web pages that specifically called for it.
