PSC IMHO the TT box in the MY07 is missing something, the re-map
works great. But doc has a MY08 and works fine, Baben has a MY06
but has the re-map. Therefore Baben may see from the vehicles
he has fitted, although not in big numbers yet, which year model
may have the issues. As I see it, both systems would have some
affect on the rail pressure/injection time to get the extra umph. D3 bullbar-spots-roof rack with spots-ladder-long range tank-swing out spare wheel carrier- upgraded tow bar-dash console-internal water tank-duel awnings-drawer system & T T.

TBH in my opinion the box did a little in your vehicle, but definitely not a huge difference like with the remap, and I think I know why.
I think perhaps the '07 is quite well optimised, and very smooth compared to the '06, hence with a box install you will not feel a difference in the style of torque delivery, there is just more torque available across the whole range.
The remap definitely provides more of a WOW than the box, seeing as the torque comes in a huge wad, as opposed to being a gradual improvement on top of the normal torque curve. I hope this makes sense - just my opinion..
I do actually have a few '07 box installations with happy users, some of whom do frequent this forum, but they can identify themselves (or not) if they wish to.
In Deon's case, there appeared to be no difference in his opinion, but then again we never did any measurements. His D3 is so fast anyway 8)
BTW - I don't think you will see any fuel economy improvement if you feel the WOW every time you drive

WOW is the real reason for TT
it would probly take about 25,000KM to justify it from an economy perspective
Anyway, enough o that, its time for a tea party

Hi Heine/Discoeast
Did anyone fitted a Dastec plug and play on a Disco 3 TDV6 with great success?
Where did you obtain the TT unit? From Baben?
Thank you

Stay away from the Dastek . The TT or Turbochip are ecu software remaps , and do not rely on any hardware implants .
