A few hours spent cutting peat today. Gathering winter fuel and all that. These pics are taken 500 feet up the hill behind my house.
It was a bit damp today but there's a cracking view from up there on a clear day.

The car was pressed into service on the 13th July to get me to the wedding. It was a special occasion so somebody with a bit more effort in their elbow than I was paid to clean/polish it looks awesome when its shiny!
Registration number is a phoney, had it done by a friendly supplier. Apologies if it belongs to someone here, it was only on for the pictures.Nick

Used my D4 as a straightening jig
In other words, the end of the rear cross member on my S2a was bent under the body, caused by reversing it into a tree stump at speed.
So, a tree strop secured around the end of the x member, secured to the rear recovery point on the D4 with a shackle, Hand brake on and in gear, with 4wd selected on the S2a, (wheels chocked too)
Used the rear camera on the D4 to keep an eye on things. Low range 1st gear, foot off brake and let the inertia of the D4 rolling forwards a few times 'hit' the S2a. Took about 7 goes to fully straighten the x member.
Unconventional, but worked perfectly

Spent yesterday Helping out on the Kielder 4x4 Safari raising money for The Northumberland National Park Mountain Rescue Team.
Good to meet Guy from here (Sorry can't remember the username )
A great day though with a mixture of mud, dust and fallen trees
Also some how managed to snap the O/S/R tail pipe off my exhaust Looking at it though it looks like it wasn't welded properly in the first place.
Cheers Ian
