Any more joy with this or has your other new project taken up your time ?
if its not going to happen would you be interested in selling one of your Dev boards that had the resistors in -not bothered about the illumination which seemed to be the big issue at the time

As it happens, my new 2010 RRS, which i got to help aid our developments has recently really helped this project immensely.
While we have a complete set of 2011 RRS wiring on the bench, for some reason we cannot fathom no matter how hard we try, using this to capture the LIN Bus traffic between the steering wheel and the Ipack and Body control has been a constant and on going problem that has been a significant factor in progression.
A week or two ago, i replaced the steering wheel and switches in my RRS with one that also had ACC and Flappy paddles, and while i was at it, i put in a small break out connector such that we could plug in and monitor / capture the LIN bus traffic.
This has since provided us with all the information we need and since that point we are now making quite good progress.
As everyone here knows, i now have spent a significant amount of time, money and effort on this and noting that the illumination aspect is something some may well not care about, if i cannot now sort this in a reasonable time, i may well release kits that do the conversion albeit at the loss of any background illumination and Paddle shift capabilities.

Ditto for me too Colin. Would be nice to have it illuminated but not a deal breaker by any means.
Good luck. MY15 D4 SDV6 HSE Corris Grey - Gone

Sadly the thread has been dragging on a bit too long....... I guess Colin is v busy
I'm just wondering if its worth rigging up a resistor ladder sub board then simply just bridging the switches over onto it. Not sure yet how doable this is. Need to sit and examine the diagrams again.
What's anyone else done? Anyone got some spare D4 switches?

A heads up chaps,
Yes i am indeed V Busy and things are certainly not getting any easier for me.
With this project and thread indeed dragging on now for way too long, we are now currently getting quotes in for the production of 50 sets of the latest PCB's i had designed, that although the existing combination of resistors and LED's ran too hot, would still work quite sucessfully without any background illumination as well as having the possibility to apply an external solution or some alternate LED's and resistors at some point in the future.
We are looking to have these produced with Gold Plated contacts so that the switch pads will not suffer from any future degridation and work just as the origionals do, and that the resistors we will need to hand solder onto them to produce the replacement resistor ladders will produce the requisite accuracy.

Just having looked at the title of this thread. I'm not fussed about the tiptronic bit, but is there a box to enable the main switches to work, ie cruise control and stereo control?D3 HSE MY05 Auto
