Nice one Baben Thumbs Up

Just another day at BBS, helping folks out as we do Whistle

TheOneAndOnlyNikolaus:
The modification we provide makes the D4 Steering wheel switches behave 100% like the D3 steering wheel switches do, in essence meaning all the electronics in the vehicle will not know anything different, so you will indeed have 100% compatibility.

Thanks Colin I got the updated PDF from Chris

Well I already had a nice wheel as I'd had mine trimmed in D4 /RRS style with perforated leather sides a while ago, but whilst at Billing I got caught up with the excitement and ended up forking out a few quid to upgrade Whistle

So now flappy paddles are active as well as enhance audio control, at peter bough I'll be adding the Heated clock spring, and a D4 Bluetooth unit to replace my aftermarket solution

So old wheel

New heated RRS wheel with paddles

In to auto

Across to sport

Paddle up

Paddle down

Very pleased, good work Christian and team Bow down

Only if you poke around in there.......
If worried - tape it up or use a cable tie!

@ JDB - Cable tie sounds a good option Thumbs Up

Q to those that have already done this conversion - the paddle shift response appears a touch sluggish ? I know it's no sports car Whistle but wondering if this is 'normal'.

Steve

Sluggish in respect of a delay in actually shifting in response to your inputs via the paddles or sluggish as in overal vehicle performance.

The first should be compared to shifting using the gear stick in (S) Tiptronic mode to manually make shifts, the latter is more Pete Bell territory Rolling with laughter
