Hi Vo Rogue and thanks for bringing this back from totally ..
Your advice is great and will consider it when I take the vehicle back in 2 weeks for minor service. They still have not managed to fix the software problem and although it is simple to overcome, I feel ripped off that I have paid for nothing.
The fact remains that I never paid for software updates whilst the car was under warranty and do not accept that I should be paying for them now.
I will take your advice and ask them to keep the car for as long as they need to work out the problem otherwise they should refund my money.... (with a suitable loan car of course...
Even after 5 years of ownership I still think the car is brilliant and I am not really concerned about the software problem. It's more about the dealer and how they treat their customers. Unfortunately I was an MLR customer up until 2006 (I had an series 2 that they looked after as well) but had to teach them a thing or two about landrovers... Possibly staff have since changed but ULR is a little more convenient now..
We'll see what eventuates in a couple of weeks time...
Thanks What's the point.... it all comes out in the wash anyway!
