I have signed up because my GSM unit is on its way out I think, its getting to be quite Intermittent so I might as well upgrade to this GSM unit and gain the blowers as well.

Installation guide, Auxiliary heater - DC3 - GSM-Remote |
|
Hello,
here is the installation guide for the GSM-remote control and heater blower control box.
I'm sorry, it is only available in german yet, but i think the images should be helpful.
If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail us.

Hi Daniel
I checked your manual.
The installation part seems quite clear, apart from the photo that shows how the yellow wire should be connected to the fbh connector in the engine compartment.
The demontage chapter is quite compact though.
If it would be possible to get some more images and text on how to disassemble the footwell trim, the dash, heater control etc etc, that would be most welcome.
Mit freundlichem gruss
Bernd

yep. reckon it needs higher res wiring pics or more pics of specific connectors and connections and more info (plus pics ) on how to demount the console. There's one wheel on my wagon, but i'm still rollin' along, it's the cherokee, they're after me, but I'm singing a happy song

Ok, i agree with the more detailed information on how to demount the console.
But we posted the original wiring diagramm of the DC3 where we had included the wirings of the Remote-control and heater-blower-box before. The connectors and cable-colors are easily identifiable on the wiring diagramm as well as on the pictures in the installation guide (as we described in the text how and which cables have to be connected).
The problem is, that we don't have the DC3 at our garage anymore, so we can't take any more pictures.
So it would be fine, if just anybody could install the GSM-remote control and document the installation.
With some practical knowledge in automobile electronics it will be quite easy.
Thanks in advance, daniel

I guess the installation instructions from Daniel (Danhag) is for a left hand drive, correct?
Martin/Sturge, is it possible for you experts to keep in mind differerences for left and right hand drives, in case you plan to fill in more details in an installation guide?
Best regards, Geir

Hi Guys,
just picked up on this thread, (have problems with internet down here in the Sahara!) I’m really keen to have one of these kits (just for working the fans like on SWMBO’s 05 Freelander!) and I’ve registered my interest. However I already have the Webasto timer, will the Denhag kit work in conjunction with the Webasto timer? I like to set the timer for mornings and where I live I don’t get very good phone reception!
